OUR LOVE STORY
Mike & Sam first “met” in high school back in 2010 – Mike was a Senior at Westhill, and Sam was a Sophomore at Stamford High. To say they met is an overstatement given they really never spoke to one another, but they certainly knew of each other like most people growing up in Stamford do through various groups of mutual friends. Mike and Sam both recall the one (and only) time they hung out in the same friend group – they attended a Kid Cudi concert on 4/20 at Terminal 5 in NYC. After high school, Mike and Sam went their separate ways and didn’t reconnect until May of 2020 when Mike, so romantically, “slid into the DM’s” on Instagram and sparked up a conversation about what they had both been up to since high school. Given their mutual love of living active lifestyles, Mike was quick to invite Sam on a (long and challenging) hike up in Barkhamsted, CT, close to where they now live together in Simsbury, CT, and the rest is history.
Three years later and Mike proposed to Sam down in Charleston, South Carolina – one of Sam’s all-time favorite places – after months of ring designing and elaborate planning. They now share a love of the low country but look forward to celebrating with family and friends up north around the corner from where they both grew up!
